Wee Houses
2026
MetroHealth Main Campus, Cleveland
Wee Houses celebrates the vibrant communities of life that exist all around Cleveland, above and beneath our feet. Spanning eight corridors, the work features dwellings formed from flowers native to Northeast Ohio, inhabited by local insects and birds. A series of sky backdrops shifts chronologically from dawn to dusk, representing the passage of time and hope each new day brings.
As part of my process for this mural I, in collaboration with MetroHealth's Child Life Specialists, invited pediatric patients to share what they would include in their dream treehouse. Their responses- from posters and snacks to swings and even their mom- are woven throughout the murals as playful hidden details, creating small moments of discovery along the way.
